What is out of our hands
We are not a broker and we are not the Capital Market Authority. We are unable to see your trading account, move your money, reset a password, release a withdrawal or intervene in a dispute. None of that is accessible to anybody who writes to this address.
Where your money sits with a firm, the first step is your broker's support and the second is the CMA. When a firm does not appear on the CMA register, the regulator is equally unable to help you, and this site exists for that very reason.
Where the line runs
- General information about how licensing and trading work
- That is what this site publishes
- A recommendation of a broker, a pair or a position size
- Not here, and not by mail
- Anything adjusted to your income, debts or tolerance for loss
- We do not know them and never ask
- Advice as the CMA defines it
- A regulated activity; we are not licensed for it
Anyone from whom you seek advice should be authorised by the CMA to give it.
No advice is given here
We will not tell you what to buy, when to buy it, how much to risk or which broker to open an account with. That is advice, it is regulated in the UAE, and we are not licensed to give it. Mail asking for it gets a polite no.
We will do three things: explain how something on this site was worked out, point at the public source behind a claim, or fix a page that reads as if it were advice.
| Step | What happens | When |
|---|---|---|
| 1 · You write | The page address and what the correct value is | Any time |
| 2 · We check it | Against the public source you name, not against our own page | Same week |
| 3 · The page changes | The figure is replaced and the page says it was corrected | With the date on it |
A number is never quietly edited to leave the page looking as though it always said that.
Working with us
Advertising, link placement and content partnerships: the answer is no, and the same address takes it. One commercial relationship applies to this site; it is disclosed on each page that uses it, and no placement is sold in anything resembling editorial.
Press and researchers are welcome. Kindly let us know what you are working on and what you need.
| Mechanism | Used here | What that means |
|---|---|---|
| Cookies | No | Nothing is set, first or third party |
| Local and session storage | No | Nothing is written to your browser |
| Analytics of ours | No | No script, no pixel, no tag manager |
| Accounts or logins | No | There is no database with your name in it |
| Newsletter or forms | No | Nothing to subscribe to |
| Fingerprinting | No | No device or canvas identification |
Check it yourself: developer tools, the storage tab and the network tab, on any page here.
The address
The address is contact@licencecheckae.com. We read all correspondence, and most of it gets a reply within 48 hours. Writing to us costs nothing and creates no account: we have no login, no newsletter and no customer records.
Include the page address in the subject line if you are contacting us about a specific page. Getting the right person to read it happens fastest this way.
| Party | What it sees | Why it is there |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare Pages | The request, your IP and browser string, in its own logs | It serves the files |
| The broker, after you follow a partner link | Whatever its own site collects, under its own policy | You left this site |
None of it passes through us, and we build no profile from any of it.
Wrong number on a page?
A correction is the most useful mail we get. Let us know the correct figure, licence number or date, and where you checked it - the CMA register, the broker's own terms, a regulator's notice - if anything of that kind on this site is wrong.
We correct the page and say on it that it was corrected, with the date. We do not quietly edit a number and leave the page looking as though it always said that.
| What it is | How it is marked | Who pays |
|---|---|---|
| A partner link to a broker | Marked sponsored, behind a label saying where it goes | The broker may pay us if you open an account |
| The register extract | Copied from the regulator | Nobody can pay to be in it, out of it, or described differently |
| Everything else on the page | Not for sale | No editorial placement, no paid ranking |
You pay nothing extra for using a partner link, and the payment changes nothing on the page.
What readers ask
Most mail is answered within 48 hours. It is corrections that are read first, given that a wrong number on a money page is the one thing worth dropping everything for.
No. Client funds are not held by us, nor do we have standing with any firm. Powers here rest with the CMA, and they extend only to firms listed on its register.
We do not rank or review brokers. We publish both the CMA register's statements and guidance on reading them, so the check remains yours to make.
